vintage Daughters of Rebekah jewelry

I've recently acquired a couple of unique odd fellows jewelry- a couple of which bears the logo for Daughters of Rebekah which is really interesting and new to me so i did a little research on them:

(from Wikipedia)
The Daughters of Rebekah is the female auxiliary or ladies branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The Rebekah Branch was established in America in 1851 after much controversy regarding the inclusion of women as Odd Fellow members in the Order. The branch was named after the Rebekah from the bible whose unselfishness at the well represents the virtues of the society.

The general duties of the members of this unit are, “To live peaceably, do good unto all, as we have opportunity and especially to obey the Golden Rule, Whatsoever ye would that others should do unto you, do ye even so unto them.

these two lovely piece can be found in the shop :) ( descriptions are linked)

Jaded

Dear all,

I really wanted to choose the winners today but I had my day spoilt by a totally unreasonable woman on Etsy. --> I don't even know her! why does she have to ruin my day like that? Why does she have to be so mean?  It makes me really upset.

So. I'll probably post the winners tomorrow. I'm so sorry.

Sincerely,
Erin

my trip to Battersea..

On my trip to London, i went to a flea market and got this tiny figurine. Come to think of it, it cost 6 pounds, not 3. - no wonder the guy next to me gave me a " i think you must be mad" look when i say i'm buying it.

1800's Victorian snake knot ring

A lovely Victorian snake knot ring that I've just listed in my shop today :)
Snake rings and knot rings are popular during that era and they symbolizes eternal love. It is really uncommon to find snake rings that are smaller in sizes - perfect for the ladies!
